Santa Eulalia Town
The family-friendly town of Santa Eulalia offers visitors a brilliant collection of urban, traditional, and promenade cafes, bars, and eateries, as well impeccably clean beaches, astonishing countryside walks, and an endless cluster of comforts including plenty of hotels, shops, and boutiques, which are mostly open all year round.
Choosing to take a summer vacation in the vibrant area of Santa Eulalia is guaranteed to keep guests active for the duration of their stay. The central town alone has plenty of opportunities to experience, from the lengthy white-sanded beaches, the promenade, to watersports, and all those winding back streets with its bustling restaurants and evening nightlife.
Explore Santa Eulalia Coastal Walk
However, if guests wish to see a little more outside of the urban setting, a picturesque and pleasant coastal walk overlooking the glistening blue Mediterranean Sea, with plenty of rustic coves, and scattered unspoiled bays await you.
You will get to pass through and visit the beautiful beaches and smaller areas of Playa Niu Blau, Es Pouet, Cala Pada, S’Argamassa, Cala Martina, Calo des Gat, and Sa Carbonera before arriving at the main area of Es Cana.
These somewhat calmer and much quieter spots can all be effortlessly reached on foot without any noteworthy physical trouble. Although some spots are a little narrow, rocky, and up high, most of the journey is smooth sailing, and appropriate for smaller children with a little extra attentiveness to their steps.
Opt for a superb day journey and an afternoon of hiking, followed by some wonderful al fresco summer dining at one of the local restaurants along the coastal path. Perfect for all the family, groups of companions, or even exploring on an individual adventure.
Visit our Beach Front Restaurant - Pura Vida
Approximately halfway through your journey, you will come to our wonderful family-friendly beach, Playa Niu Blau. Our beach is lined with shaded pine trees, clean shallow waters, as well as a wide range of casual water sports including canoes and pedaloes for the more adventurous visitor.
Our family-run restaurant, located on Playa Niu Blau is the perfect place to stop, refresh and relax on one of our sunbeds, or sit under our shaded terrace for a spot of lunch before heading off on the final stretch of the coastal walk.
We are sure you will love Pura Vida Beach Restaurant with our classic approach to pure relaxation and high-end Mediterranean cuisine, in a simply divine location.
Our cuisine concept takes classic Mediterranean dishes and gives them a contemporary feel with a lighter touch, including everything from fresh fish to luxury lobster, burgers, steak, and plenty of options for the children also.
Pick the right day and the kids will have their very own supervised entertainment and activities area, so you can relax in style (and peace).
From Playa Niu Blau to Es Cana
The second half of the walk will take you directly to Cala Pada and onto Cala Martina, it’s perhaps the hilliest stride of the entire journey, but well worth the walk.
On the way you will find many nudist spots and peaceful private locations, as well as a watersports centre, known as Cesars with Jet-ski hire, and also a diving centre at Cala Martina- Dive Star.
Es Cana resort is just off the main road from Cala Martina where you can pass through the famous Punta Arabi Hippy Market before hitting the main resort centre with all its wonderful amenities.
If the walk back feels a little overwhelming, then plenty of Taxis and bus services are available during the height of the season, both day and night for a less tiresome journey back home to your holiday accommodation.
